I’m Natasha Handley, currently a second year game design student at Leeds Becket University in the UK. Gongylus Games is the name I use for my game projects.

It was a great pleasure being invited to display The Last Star, Borgor Game, and my asset creation project at Collide23, Leeds Beckett’s end of year showcase.

My specialisation is programming. I have been working in web development on and off over the last 25 years. 10 years ago I attempted to make my first game which was a VR Myst-like puzzle game built in Unity for Google Cardboard.

In 2020, I began developing a JRPG and another VR game as a hobby. Before long I realised I enjoy developing games a lot. In 2022, I applied to study Game Design at Leeds Beckett and was accepted based on the experience I demonstrated in game development.

Fast forward to today, and I have published four games and looking forward to making many more.

Light of the Fireflies

This video was made for my second year Animation and VFX project. The idea behind this project was to experiment with lighting in Unreal Engine. It was made mostly using assets from Quixel Bridge and the Unity Asset Store and assembled in Unreal Engine 5.3.

Helena
Cannon-Arm

A strong pirate woman called Helena Cannon-Arm. Modelled using modern day and historical references, I aimed to design a majestic pirate woman who was both true to life and fantastical while not conforming with common tropes.
